Research stakeholders met at a seminar focused on the development of data infrastructure in the Czech Republic. Among other things, the meeting raised a call in the form of the possibility of participating in working groups for the implementation of the EOSC initiative in the Czech Republic. Registration is possible until October 15, 2021.
The event organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the National Technical Library, research infrastructures e-INFRA CZ and the Technology Center of the CAS took place on Thursday, September 23, 2021. The main topic was an expert discussion on the main main principles of further direction and development of data infrastructure in the Czech Republic, which were discussed during 2021 across the representations of universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic together with research stakeholders.
What is the EOSC initiative?
EOSC initiative is part of the Digital Single Market strategy and the European Open Science policy. The purpose of the EOSC is to build a single European data infrastructure for scientific data accessible to both academia and industry and/or public service providers.
The aim of the EOSC is then to make scientific data available in accordance with the FAIR principles, so that scientific data is traceable (F - Findable), accessible (A - Accessible), interoperable (I - Interoperable) and reusable (R - Reusable).
