Big congratulations to Jiří Filipovič, who received the MUNI Scientist award for his article describing a novel method for the fast analysis of ligand transport. This is awarded by the Grant Agency of Masaryk University for an excellent research results.
The award ceremony took place at the end of November in the premises of Mendel's Refectory in the Augustinian Abbey in Brno. The MUNI Scientist Awards, which were awarded for the second time, were received by a total of 39 MUNI scientists, who complemented the colleagues awarded a year ago (among them was another researcher and member of the ICS Management Petr Holub).
Formal Appreciation of the Results Is Gratifying
Co říká na obdržení ceny MUNI Scientist sám Jiří Filipovič? „Potěšilo mě to, z formálního ocenění výsledků a převzetí ceny v pěkné historické budově mám dobrý pocit.
What does Jiří Filipovič himself say about receiving the MUNI Scientist award? "I was pleased and felt good about the formal award and the award ceremony in the nice historic building. It's also very nice to be in the presence of successful scientists from the university and have the opportunity to talk a little." At the same time, however, he adds that (whatever form) the award is not his primary motivation: "Personally, I am more motivated by the interest of the topic and the need to solve a problem - rather than the reward for breaking it."
