Warning: spear-phishing campaign targeting IS MU login credentials
The Cybersecurity Team of Masaryk University warns of an ongoing spear-phishing campaign aimed at stealing login credentials for the Masaryk University Information System.
Friday night, October 6, will belong to scientists and researchers across the country. This year, the theme of the traditional non-fiction event Researchers’ Night is "Mystery", and our experts from the CSIRT-MU cyber security team have prepared a program with which they will reveal the issue of cyber threats to those who are interested.
We have been participating in the national event Researchers’ Night for several years together with other workplaces and faculties of Masaryk University. From 6 p.m. to midnight, the doors to the laboratories and other interesting corners of academic and research institutions, where the public normally cannot get to, will be opened. It is no different here, too, when our cyber security staff will present their program in the KYPO Lab.
"In the cyber security team, we work to keep certain information secret from attackers. At the same time, however, we reveal secrets, especially those related to threats to users. At the Researchers’ Night, we will help visitors better understand both," says Martin Laštovička, head of the CSIRT-MU team.
Go to the Researchers’ Night around the different sites of Masaryk University and don't forget to join us to uncover the secrets of cyber threats!
