Research theme belongs to the sphere of Digital Libraries (DLs) as a critical component of emerging Distributed Knowledge Environments allowing wide access practically to all fields of human base of information, knowledge, and experience. Research is aimed at the selected fields of Digital Libraries:


  • transformation of classical libraries into digital environment; general framework and infrastructure of DLs;

  • information retrieval and processing in heterogenous distributed resources;

  • secure protocols and technologies of accessing and transmission of sensitive data in a public computer network environment;

  • technologies for collecting, processing, archiving, and transmission of digitized images in medicine.
