The main objectives of the AARC TREE project are to define common strategies for the development and deployment of Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructures (AAIs) in the pan European Research Infrastructures at large, to improve access and sharing of scientific resources and to improve interoperability among research infrastructure communities across the thematic areas.

This will be achieved by reviewing and enhancing the AARC Blueprint Architecture (AARC BPA) which has become the de-facto reference model to deploy interoperable AAIs for research infrastructures in Europe and beyond.

AARC TREE will deliver an updated version of the existing AARC BPA as well as a number of related policy and technical guidelines to improve user experience when accessing services via an AARC-BPA complaint AAIs, to add support for EU ID wallet and for assurance through the support of the eIDAS framework.

Research Infrastructures in different thematic areas and other stakeholders will guide the AARC TREE Project in meeting its objectives and in delivering its results by providing requirements and validating results
