Cílem tohoto projektu je podporovat výzkum v oblasti Biomedicínských věd. Konkrétně se jedná o využití metod molekulární biologie, genetiky a buněčné biologie k získávání nových vědeckých poznatků, které mohou vést k objasnění podstaty lidských onemocnění.
Klíčovou součástí je zapojení doktorských a magisterských studentů LF MU pracujících ve výzkumných laboratořích Biologického ústavu. Dílčí projekty pokrývají širokou škálu výzkumných témat molekulární biologie a genetiky.
