Description | The paper follows the broader research of wheelchair users spatiality. The contribution deals with the (un)suitability of certain research methods for this population in more detail. Specifically, the use of mental maps, outline of motion to the underlying map, verbal description of the journey, go along journey with respondent and record the movement with GNSS. The various methods will be presented in detail and through their experimental use will be evaluated their suitability for the study group. In detail, the contribution will focus on motion tracking using segmented positioning through GPS technology in combination with a subsequent interview with the communication partner – as the most appropriate research method. Emphasis will be placed on practical advice associated with its use. |
