Description | The paper asked why cinematographers were the only systematic, high-profile, long-term and multi-directional migrants among Czech film personnel in the 1930s, and why they formed such a consistently successful professional group. Migration was viewed as a function of the production system itself where cameramen acted as independent "entrepreneurs", highly flexible, multitasking and adaptable. |
