Description | Teacher expertise perceived as a high quality Professional performance is one of the decisive factors regarding the quality of education. Expertise is to a large extent rooted in the knowledge base for teaching, mainly in pedagogical content knowledge which is currently recognised as a dynamic phenomenon developed through theory – practice interaction. The paper maps current research in foreign language didactics in the Czech Republic searching for responses to the following questions: How does reearch in foreign language didactics contribute to a deeper insight into the construct of pedagogical content knowledge? Which issues are considered crucial with regard to foreign language teacher expertise? |
