Description | Electrochemical behavior of xanthine (Xan) and 8-methylxanthine (8-mXan) on a pencil graphite electrode (PeGE) in the presence of copper ions is reported. For this purpose we used linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) in combination with adsorptive stripping (AdS) technique and the elimination (EVLS) procedure. The sensitive detection of purine oxidation signals was performed depending on scan rate, pH, concentration of Cu(II), and modification of PeGE surface. To achieve the best electroanalytical determination of Xan and 8-mXan the optimal experimental conditions were chosen, and to understand the electrode processes of both xanthines on Cu(I)-modified PeGE spectral and microscopic methods were used. |
