Description	The thematic focus of the present (double) issue of the journal ezine TIM subtitled Time 4 Software Studies responds to the current development trend of new media theory, which is a turn towards software. Particular attention is paid to software art, artistic practices, which are the counterpart of software studies in the field of artistic production, as it emphasizes processes and performativity of software and reflects the basic functions and effects of programmable media.
