| Description | The very important part of the law codes of Lombards is devoted to the protection of woman and her interests, likewise in the other so called barbarian law-codes. We can find many analogies also in social status of women. In this paper is also examinated the very problematic relation of woman and the wergeld for some injuries committed on her relatives, as proposed by this law. The punishment for the adultery is by the Lombards not so vicious as, for instance, in the lawmaking of Burgundians or Visigoths. |
