| Description | This paper analyses the parasynthetic formations, built-in Spanish lexicon of the eighteenth century, which present a morphological similarity with their French equivalents. It examines what kind of neological creation process produced the studied voices. In principle, there are two possibilities, either internal creation via parasynthesis or integration motivated by French. The existence of Gallic equivalents and historical context tend to support the French hypothesis. |
