Description | A novel type of surface dielectric barrier discharge using water-solution electrodes is presented. It generates thin layers of visually diffuse plasmas along the treated polymer surfaces. The technique has been designed particularly to perform a plasma treatment of surfaces of polymeric tubes and other hollow bodies which is currently a serious challenge for atmospheric pressure plasma processing. As an example, the results of plasma treatment of PTFE tubes are discussed. |
