| Description | On the basis of new archaeological research I have focused in this lecture on the emergence of cities in the early iron age period (900-700 BC) in central Italy. It also deals with, the definition of urban centers, a description of urbanization processes and evolution of the villages at the end of the Bronze Age to the urban settlement in the Iron Age. This process is documented on housing centers of Italic people, but also the Etruscans. The second part of the lecture deals with the historical development of Latium Vetus from the earliest times until the end of antiquity. |
