| Description | What are specific features of minor place names in one of the borderline regions inhabited up till the end of Wold War II mostly by German inhabitants, transferred after the end of the war? Is there a continuity between pre-war and post-war anoikonymy and if so, how is it put into practice? What are the generational differences, as far as knowledge of anoikonyms is concerned? Is it really true that “the young ones know nothing”? The lecture surveying the research of anoikonyms in selected borderline villages of South Moravia, will try to answer these and some other questions. |
