Description | We have spectroscopically observed the star sigma Scl during two seasons (2011-2012) with the high dispersion spectrograph FEROS (R = 48 000) attached to the 2.2-m MPG/ESO telescope at La Silla. We did not find any spectral changes in a total of 60 obtained spectra. The chemical composition of sigma Scl is very similar to the solar one. We are also unable to find any periodic photometric variations of the star. Consequently, we cannot classify it as a CP star. |
