Description | The book describes the traditional folk culture in Moravia in the time period ranging from the mid-18th century to the end of the 19th century by means of six thematic axes: Autochthony – External Influences – Stability over Time – Fluidity over Time – Territorial Unity – Territorial Differentness. Using examples of specific cultural phenomena, the authors try to illuminate the processes which formed folk culture and influenced its creators and bearers in the past. Such an approach leads to more plastic knowledge of the reality of life in Moravian countryside in the past in the entirety of its changeability, stability, variability, and uniformity. |
