Description | A handbook on design, implementation and evaluation of learning and training programmes for teachers becomes one of the project outputs. In general, it seeks to answer the question “How to share responsibility for sustainability of cultural heritage with adults who are involved in higher and further education”. In particular, it focuses on initial teacher training and continuing professional development. It provides a basic theoretical insight into the concept of heritage education and learning for adults and summarizes practical guidelines for the development of training programmes, including ways of communication or use of teaching and learning tools. Four examples of good practice that are presented in the last section of the book illustrate possibilities of unlocking educational potential of authentic ambience of various heritage sites (e. g. industrial area, castle and chateau, monastery, historical gardens) in order to meet the targets of both higher and further teacher education. |
