Description | The current molecular data, transcriptomic, genomic and proteomic on members of big class of parasites Monogenea are very sporadic. There are evidences of several mitochondrial genomes (e.g. Gyrodactylus salaris, Pseudochauhanea macrorchis), available data from two genome projects (G. salaris, Protopolystoma xenopodis), one EST database (Neobenedenia melleni) and a very limited number of studies focused on the molecular characterization of particular monogenean genes/proteins. Therefore, we performed the first insights into molecular biology of selected experimental species Eudiplozoon nipponicum, hematophagous ectoparasite of fresh water fish. |
