Description | Losing a job means a significant human encroachment into its daily activities. The aim of this paper is to identify how it has changed spatiotemporal behavior of people after job loss. The topic is dealt with qualitative methodology, which for the above mentioned purpose was conducted 12 semi-structured interviews with communication partners of different ages, education and due to the termination of previous employment. On the contrary, common to all communication partners was that i) before losing their jobs some time working (ie. accustomed to working mode) and simultaneously ii) not an unemployed graduates, and iii) at the time of the interviews, communication partners actually had a job. The paper focuses on the characteristics of a "typical day" before and after job loss, effects on movement in space and time management. Among its main outputs include a description of the experience of losing a job, especially in terms of changes in spatial and temporal routines. Paper answering on questions i) how the changed spatial and temporal behavior of the communication partners after job loss, ii) the importance of that by changing the communication partners attach and iii) how these changes spatiotemporal behavior contribute to the stigmatization of persons without employment. |
