Description | The aim of this entry is to summarize the most important technical aspects of a main plasma generator that had been reportedly used for wood surface activation. Consequently, case studies for wood surface treatment will be presented, which include improvement of wettability and adhesive joint strength, surface hydrophobization, oxidative activation of wood pulp, and sterilization. Finally, a brief introduction to the character of chemical changes occurring on the plasma activated wood surfaces will be provided. |
