Description Portable analyzer based on microcontroller Arduino (or compatible) and impedance module Pmod IA was developed for detection of pathogenic bacteria. The system is controlled using notebook or tables via USB interface; another option is based on touchscreen, this allows point-of-care detection of pathogens. When the bacteria is bound to the antibody-modified electrode, surface coverage increases, which is connected with the increase of measured impedance. Detection of Salmonella Typhimurium was demonstrated with limit of detection of 10^4 CFU/mL.
