Description Skills or strategies of emotion regulation could be divided into nine domains, according to the Adaptive Coping with Emotions (ACE) model. Emotion Regulation Skills Questionnaire (ERSQ, 27 items) is a multidimensional questionnaire aspiring to measure all nine emotion regulation domains. The aim of this analysis was to estimate the psychometric properties of the Czech translation of ERSQ. The sample consisted of 427 Czech clinical patients from seven clinical sites in Czech Republic. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the eight-dimensional factor solution with merged subscales of Acceptance and Tolerance of negative emotions. Best-fitting model was characterized further by ommiting the item 23. Internal consistency for individual subscales was diverse from ?h = 0,669 (Bodily sensations) to ?h = 0,859 (Acceptance/Tolerance). All items together demonstrated relatively high internal consistency of ?tot = 0,910. To investigate the inter-relatedness between individual subscales of ERSQ and to investigate the predictive validity across patients and across the period of their multi-component group therapy, a dynamic cross-lagged and autoregressive network model was computed on the panel data (up to 7 weeks of measurement). Before computing the network model a longitudinal invariance for all ERSQ subscales was computed. Bootstrapped (n = 200) network model supported the hypothesized ACE model. The most central strategy of emotion regulation was the Modification and Readiness to confrontation with negative emotions. A small revision suggested in this study include the merging of another pair of subscales: Understanding and Clarification of emotions given the longitudinal multicollinearity issues. Czech version of ERSQ validated in the clinical population is psychometrically sound instrument comparable with the original version. The main benefit of using this tool is the ability to measure various aspects of emotion regulation separately.
