Description This theoretical paper introduces approaches that can be used to support a null hypothesis. We introduce the four most promising techniques of equivalence testing: two one-sided tests (TOST), second-generation p-value (SPGV), Bayes Factor (BF), and region of practical equivalence (ROPE). The following paper clarifies the logic of the null hypothesis testing and the p-value, critically revises the benefits and drawbacks of presented techniques and also provides practical examples of TOST procedures.
