Description | The concept of videomapping Brno-Minsk developed in connection with the MU project of the same name, which reverently commemorated the 80th anniversary of the first transport of Jews from Brno. Among the deportees were also students and Masaryk University. Videomapping was projected on the facade of the Constitutional Court in the form of a unique life performance lasting 50 minutes. The music and video component were presented on site from pre-prepared animations in combination with live parties (trumpet, live electronics). The site specific project also had its activist part, where we invited Belarusian artist Rufina Bázlová to collaborate. 3D modeling was performed by students of the Department of Visual Informatics FI, the music component was taken care of by Tomáš Vtípil. The realization was based on an abstract depiction of the mood and distress of the transported, their desire for freedom and their tragic fate without using the found documentary materials (except for about 6 photographs). |
