Description | Performance art as a new medium was accepted into the world of contemporary art in the second half of the 20th Century. This paper focuses on the development of performance art in the artistic community towards the public space and also on its position and integration into the educational process. What is the essence of body art and how can performance art be preserved after the event finishes? What themes and means can be used to mediate an art form where the outcome is the process rather than a product in an attractive way to school children in an art education lecture? Finding answers is a path that combines the humanities, sciences and the world of the latest technologies. The ability of performance art to "draw" the viewer into the event and the world of emotions is very strong. The viewer's participation in the creation of an individual experience representing value in itself, changes the perception of the essence of art and thus its role in society. |
