Description | In modern times, schools are mostly organized by the state and their functions include the integration of adolescents into the existing society and the legitimation of the existing social and political system. It is therefore obvious that a political system break, as experienced in the states of East Central Europe in 1989, will also lead to significant changes in schools. Against this background, we want to use the workshop to study the connection between the political caesura of 1989 and the change in the school system in the countries of East Central Europe. A good 30 years after the fall of the Iron Curtain, we want to take stock of the changes in school systems and look for new perspectives. |
