Description | Harrisonite is rare silicate-phosphate known from severeal geological environments. In Cyrilov and Přibyslavice, Czech Republic, harrisonite forms grains up to 250 µm in size. It is Mg-poor, Mn-rich and part of Si is substituted by P causing MO6 vacancies. The structural affinity of the phase to the type harrisonite was confirmed using Raman spectroscopy. |
