Description | Just like last year, this year too, the two-day CZECRIN Networking conference was held in early November in Hustopeče near Brno. The aim of the event was to organize a meeting of representatives of the CZECRIN research infrastructure from all national branches (including colleagues from SLOVACRIN) and thus provide a platform for sharing work experiences across the entire clinical research process. As the name suggests, it was about networking, i.e. strengthening ties between individual members of the infrastructure and their mutual connections. Some colleagues were finally able to meet face to face, although they collaborate remotely on a daily basis. Associate Professor Demlová opened the conference program with a speech in which she summarized the past period of the CZECRIN infrastructure and outlined the strategy for the future. The first block of the program followed – three interactive workshops. These were included in the program based on feedback from last year’s meeting. The need and interest for more intensive communication between individual representatives emerged here, with the aim of strengthening ties between workplaces and introducing members of the infrastructure to each other. The second day was a block of lectures with discussions. Nine randomly formed teams were tasked with preparing mind maps or SWOT analyses, which served as a basis for creating questions for subsequent panel discussions. Three topics were presented and then discussed in detail: “CTIS” led by Karolína Grodová (Faculty of Medicine, MU), “How to audit and inspect a KH” presented by Martina Lojová (MOÚ) and Michaela Hanáková (MOÚ) led the panel “Requirements for conducting a “first in human” study according to the new legislation”. The teams of panelists included members of the infrastructure and representatives of the commercial sector, which brought more perspectives to the issue. “We are very pleased with the high participation of 70 people and the positive reactions to the program and organization of the event so far. We definitely plan to repeat the event next fall,” summarizes the main organizer of the conference, Jana Unar Vinklerová. |
