Description | A series of triethylene glycol bis(alkyl phosphate)s HO(RO)P(O)(OCH2CH2)3OP(O)(OR)OH (R=octyl, 1-methylheptyl, 2-ethylhexyl, nonyl, decyl, dodecyl, hexadecyl, octadecyl has been synthesized with the expectation that these compounds could be effective complexing and/or extraction agents for metal cations. The compounds werw characterized by 31P NMR, 1H NMR,13C NMR and IR spectroscopy, MALDITOF mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis. |
