Description The reduction of 3-(azidomethylene)dihydrofuran-2-one (AZMDF) was studied by voltammetric methods. The peak height and peak potential are dependent on various experimental conditions (pH, scan rate, time of accumulation). According to the scan rate coefficient it has been considered that the reduction process of azide group is controlled by diffusion. The difference of reduction peak potentials between (E) a (Z) forms (about 100 mV) it is possible to determine these azides in their mixtures. The best current signals with optimal separation of two peaks were observed in borate buffer.
