Description | Trimethylsilyl phosphorohalidates behave as O-donors toward strong Lewis acids and with SbCl5 and BCl3 react under formation of donor-acceptor complexes. The crystalline complexes Me3SiOPOF2(SbCl5), Me3SiOPOFCl(SbCl5), Me3SiOPOCl2(SbCl5) and (Me3SiO)2POF(SbCl5) have been isolated and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction. The analogous adducts of BCl3 are thermally unstable and decompose to the corresponding halogenotrimethylsilane and boron phosphorohalidate. The phosphorohalidates Me3SiOPOFCl and (Me3SiO)2P2O3F2 react readily with Lewis bases pyridine and DMAP forming betaines of the fluorophosphoric acid,(B)PO2F. |
