Description Laser induced fluorescence detection (LIF) is an effective for the sensitive determination of biologically important molecules, such as peptides and proteins, after Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) separation. In this work we demonstrate preliminary results obtained using CELIF and matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI MS) to investigate derivatization of model peptides with rhodamine-based reagents.
