Description | The present work reports on results of experimental study of microstructure of several Ni-Al-Cr-Co alloys prepared by melting of pure metals with the intention to cover a range of compositions with different phase constitution. Observations and quantitative evaluations were done after long term annealing at temperatures ranging from 1173 K to 1373 K by means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis. Quantitative data on volume fraction and chemical composition of phases found in particular alloys were subsequently used as an input for optimisation of thermodynamic parameters. Phase diagrams were constructed, covering the range of compositions and temperatures of interest for practical application. |
