Description | After the first psychotic episode the course of disease it highly variabe. The acute treatment response may not be the decisive factor. It is necessary to look after prognostic factors identifying patients with worse outcome already during the first psychotic manifestation. Further factors that may underlie the acquisition of insight should be studied, because insight has implications for treatment adherence. |
