Description | On-line combination of capillary electrophoresis (CE) and sensitive, element-selective, inductively coupled plasma (ICP) and mass spectrometry (MS) has been reported in recent studies. All of them are based on a nebulizer interface for direct linking to ICP, resulting in reducing the electrophoretic resolution due to supplementary liquid suction from nebulizer. In our approach, CE fractions are collected on a suitable target and the entire separation record is analyzed by laser ablation (LA) ICP MS. |
