• Description: The thesis deals with data source analysis of contaminated sites and its conversion into the unified format. It progressively familiarizes reader with environmental information and with the information system of contaminated sites in the Czech Republic. Subsequently, the thesis defines the Unified Format Methodology. Application of the methodology is shown on the data sources in the area of the contaminated sites. Two data sources are described in detail in the case studies. Final part of the thesis evaluates utilization of the methodology and the results are generalized to the whole area of environmental informatics.
