| Description | The paper analyzes a topos of a coat and "Mantelgedicht" in Greek literature. It challenges a proposition that the "Mantelgedicht" as a genre is present only in Latin literature (Th. Latzke, Mittellateinisches Jahrbuch 6, 1970, 109-131) by presenting several examples of the "Mantelgedicht" and generally the theme of a coat in Ancient Greek (Hipponax, Aristophanes, Lucian) and Medieval Literature (Ptochoprodromika, Manuel Files). |
