Description | Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the most important risk factor for development of CIN and cervical cancer. We analyse HPV16 E6 gene promoter methylation. Incidence of HPV16 significantly differed (P<0.001,chi-square test of Pearson). Methylation was detected and statistical significant differencies were found (P<0.001; Pearsons chi-square test). Methylation of the E6 gene promoter is predictive biomarker for cervical cancer progression. |
