Citation
Description Pohansko hillfort (fortified settlement) was continuously occupied from the period of Slavic migration, in the 6th century, through to the first half of the 10th century AD. According to Macháček (2005) the function of Pohansko was protection, control and organization of long distance trade, and the professional artisan production was concentrated at Pohansko. Paleopathology provides primary evidences, which are the only indication that a once-living person suffered from a health problem or incurred an injury. Paleopathology also supplies as a tool for investigation how people interacted with their environment (Roberts, Manchester 2005, 1-6).
