Description | New method of sample preparation using substrate-assisted laser desorption inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry (SALD-ICP-MS) is presented. While common LA-ICP-MS experiments rely on ablation processes of the sample itself, in SALD, sample intended for analysis is deposited on a polyethylene terephthalate glycol plate and laser pulses are used to desorb it quantitatively. |
