Description | Pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) represents a potentially protective pathway in hyperglycemia. Transketolase is the key enzyme of PPP. We aimed to find out whether parameters of thiamine metabolism can influence progression of diabetic nephropathy (DN) and morbidity of patients with DN. |
