Description | Our effort is focused on discovery, evaluation and validation of perspective protein markers of metastatic potential in low grade breast cancer biopsies. Three proteomics approaches have been involved in complex protein composition analysis of clinically and pathologically well characterized set of tissues: SELDI-TOF MS, 2-D PAGE and iTRAQ-2DLC-MS/MS. This combined approach enabled us to simultaneously identify and quantify more than 600 proteins using LC-MS/MS and to detect more than 800 protein spots using 2-D PAGE followed by MS/MS protein identification. The results involving differential levels of several biologically relevant groups of proteins are discussed on the poster. |
