Description | We have studied the chemistry of new 5-membered cyclic nitrones bearing different functional groups in positions 2 and 5 of the nitrone ring. Nitrones were treated with various dipolarophiles. Reactions offered isoxazoles as single diastereomers in all studied cases. The reaction scope and limitations of studied 1,3-DC are presented. Substituent effect of nitrones and effect of dipolarophile reactivity upon reaction conversions and reaction yields is discussed. |
