Description The poster presented an overview of tools available for assessing intercultural competence (IC) of language teachers. It examined the concept of IC and possibilities of its measurement in the Czech educational context. Measuring the IC of language teachers brings the question of what an interculturally competent teacher looks like. Despite the complexity of the concept, a number of assessment tools have been developed by scholars in the field across the world, that represent valid and reliable psychometric instruments suitable for measuring the IC of language teachers. Since the concept of IC is viewed differently across cultures, it is important to note that the poster only focused on western models and assessment tools of IC.
