| Description | The present invention relates to novel macrocyclic derivatives of glycolurils of general formula I, and methods of their preparation. These novel derivatives can be used for the selective removing of various compounds from solutions in polar and nonpolar solvents, and from water, e.g. for water purification and desalination, also for separation of liquid mixtures and mixtures of gases and organic solvent vapors, preparation of ion-exchange materials and materials which are used as stationary phase in chromatography, construction of sensors, transport and targeting of drugs in organisms, and also preparation of materials bearing aromatic or curative compounds. |
