Description Impact of cave visitors on selected microclimatic parameters was studied in the Císařská Cave (Moravian Karst). The study showed that visitors produce significant amounts of carbon dioxide, heat, and vapor that are capable to increase CO2 levels, temperature, and specific humidity of cave air, respectively. Anthropogenic CO2 flux into the cave was estimated as 0.64 mol/hour/person. Restoration of the natural values requires different times: one hour in case of temperature/humidity and one day in case of C02 level, based on cave ventilation. An impact on the karst processes as speleothem growth/dissolution was not proved.
