We research possibilities of advancing technologies and abilities of security teams and create new systems for data protection.

Our focus is science and research projects, as well as collaboration with students and protection of cyberspace at Masaryk University.

We engage in science and research projects.

We’re carrying out research of an array of topics related to cybersecurity. Our current projects include measuring and analysing network usage, network security, and environment for security research and education. At the same time, we collaborate with significant national institutions such as the CESNET association or National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB).

Our Projects

Simulation, Detection, and Mitigation of Cyber Threats

KYPO cyber range is a unique virtual environment suitable for researching and developing methods of protection against attacks on critical information infrastructures. Scalability, flexibility and effectivity belong among the fundamental characteristics of the environment.

The Sharing and Analysis of Security Events

The goal of the SABU project is developing a system for intelligent analysis and effective transmission between security teams. The system enables predicting a development of attacks and eliminating their potential impact on national cyberspace.

Research of Tools for Cyber Situational Awareness and Decision Support of CSIRT Teams

The main objective of the project is researching those tools, which help to maintain so-called situational awareness about a protected network and thereby support correct and effective decision-making process when protecting critical infrastructure.

Cyber Czech Security Exercise

Cyber Czech is the only cyber defense exercise of its kind in the Czech Republic which takes place regularly. The combination of technical and nontechnical elements creates complex and realistic situations for learning to oppose cyber attacks.
