Popis This project is aimed to study thermal and catalytic properties of nanoparticles. The work includes the synthesis of AgCu nanoparticles by the solvothermal hot-injection decomposition method followed by characterization of prepared nanoparticles using the dynamic light scattering, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, transmission and scanning electron microscopes with energy X-ray dispersive spectroscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. Catalytic activity of AgCu nanoparticles was characterized by Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry and was compared with activity of the compact AgCu alloy and with the inert SiO2 nanoparticles. It was found out AgCu nanoparticles have significantly higher catalytic activity than bulk material and inert SiO2 nanoparticles. Surface oleylamine was completely decomposed.
